unique Vintage Shelby Cobra embroided Gas Station Jacket

Founded in 1962 by former racing driver Carroll Shelby (1959 Le Mans win with Roy Salvadori in an Aston Martin), the company built the legendary AC Cobra models and tuned Ford Mustang variants.

A total of 1,003 Cobra (1962 to 1965) and 13,912 Mustang (1965 to 1970) were produced. The latter were sold in the early years under the brand name Shelby Mustang GT 350. Since 1968, the most powerful ponycar versions GT 350 and GT 500 were produced under the direction of Ford. In addition, Shelby American maintained several factory racing teams, which were responsible for the use of the factory Cobras and made the Ford GT 40 the winning car at Le Mans in 1966.

Die 1962 vom ehemaligen Rennfahrer Carroll Shelby (1959 mit Roy Salvadori Le Mans-Sieg im Aston Martin) gegründete Firma baute die legendären AC Cobra Modelle und getunte Ford Mustang-Varianten.

Insgesamt entstanden 1.003 Cobra (1962 bis 1965) und 13.912 Mustang (1965 bis 1970). Letztere wurden in den Anfangsjahren unter dem Markennamen Shelby Mustang GT 350 verkauft. Seit 1968 entstanden die stärksten Ponycar-Versionen GT 350 und GT 500 unter der Regie von Ford. Außerdem unterhielt Shelby American mehrere Werks-Rennteams, die für den Einsatz der Werks-Cobras verantwortlich waren und 1966 in Le Mans den Ford GT 40 zum Siegerauto machten.
